Form 35 — the prescribed online form for an assessee or deductor aggrieved by an order of the Assessing Officer, filed before the Joint Commissioner (Appeals) or Commissioner (Appeals).
Generally the memorandum of appeal, statement of facts, grounds of appeal, the order being challenged and the notice of demand, along with relevant supporting documents.
Generally 30 days from the date of service of the demand or order — the exact starting point depends on the nature of the matter under section 249(2).
It may be admitted if the appellate authority is satisfied there was sufficient or reasonable cause for the delay. This requires a separate delay explanation and is subject to the authority's decision.
